Why walk it before fabrication

On a house, a furniture shift after move-in is easy. On a yacht or jet, a wardrobe that sits two inches into a passage may mean rebuilding curved joinery, stone or a certified monument. Aviation already does this

Airbus’s Airspace Customer Definition Centre projects full-scale cabin layouts on the floor for airline customers, and the ACJ TwoTwenty Creative Studio pairs a real-size cabin section with VR. Airbus uses both physical and digital review. A printed plan is the lighter, portable version of the floor-level part, for yards, completion centers and design studios without a mockup hall. Airbus isn’t a Big Floor Plans customer.

Class rules and certification stay with your engineers

A printed plan shows plan-view geometry only; it doesn’t show heights, curves or structure, and it doesn’t check anything against class or certification rules. Yacht teams work with their classification society (Lloyd’s Register, ABS, Bureau Veritas) and the Red Ensign Group Yacht Code; aircraft interiors go through FAA STC or the equivalent.
