Big Floor Plans does not promise drift-free tracking, survey-grade positioning or a particular alignment tolerance.

What Architects Can Include in the Walkthrough Plan
The submitted PDF can include the horizontal information most useful to the review, including walls, doors, windows, cabinetry, islands, furniture, fixtures, equipment, room labels, dimensions and selected site elements.
Dense consultant notes or unrelated technical information may be removed from the walkthrough version when appropriate to improve readability.
The official architectural and engineering documents remain controlling.
What the Printed Plan Does Not Reproduce
A flat 1:1 plan primarily represents horizontal geometry.
It does not fully reproduce ceiling heights, overhead systems, wall thickness as physical volume, finishes, material perception, daylight quality, acoustics, stairs, slopes or three-dimensional visual obstruction.
Architects can combine the print with renderings, elevations, sections, material samples, VR, BIM and other design tools when those qualities are important to the decision.

How the Architect Workflow Works
Export the Current Design to PDF
Big Floor Plans accepts PDF files for production. Vector PDFs are preferred for the clearest architectural linework at full scale.
Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other design files should be exported to PDF before submission.
Define the Walkthrough Scope
Identify the questions the team wants to review and include the plan information necessary for those discussions.
The architect may print an entire floor or only a selected kitchen, suite, tenant area, equipment zone or other focused scope.
Review the Digital Proof
A production proof is typically prepared in approximately 48 hours after the required file and project information are received.
The designated project contact should verify the current version, scale, orientation, plan content, calibration references, branding and any requested AR tracking references.
Production and Delivery
Production generally takes five to seven business days after proof approval.
The finished plan is folded, boxed and shipped nationwide through FedEx Ground. Shipping is calculated separately.
