Defense and Tactical Facility Layout Review at Full 1:1 Scale

Big Floor Plans prints selected, approved facility layouts at true 1:1 scale on a durable synthetic sheet that ships folded in a box. Defense, MILCON, training and public-safety teams lay it in a hangar or gym and walk rooms, operator stations, equipment zones and passageways before construction, rough-in or equipment installation. Printing is $0.45 per square foot with a $100 minimum.

Read this before you send a file

Never send classified information. We make no claim of a facility clearance, cleared staff, SCIF or classified printing.
Don’t send CUI or controlled technical information unless your program has confirmed in writing that the transmission method and recipient meet its requirements. Engineering drawings can be controlled technical information even when unclassified; see the DoD CUI Program.
Check export-control status first. We make no claim of ITAR registration and don’t give legal advice on export-controlled information.
Print only what you need. One room or area means less information leaves your environment. For a price, a rough square footage is enough.

What authorized teams walk at full size

Room proportions, circulation and passageways
Operator stations, consoles and workstation rows
Equipment footprints and maintenance access in hangars and maintenance bays
Unclassified training-space geometry and room relationships
Constrained quarters and compartment arrangements, in plan view only

Standing at a proposed console or walking a passageway helps users and designers ask better questions. It isn’t a human-factors evaluation under MIL-STD-1472, and it doesn’t check Unified Facilities Criteria such as UFC 3-120-10 Interior Design. What we don’t provide

Tactical doctrine, weapons or breaching instruction, scenario design, threat or security assessment, antiterrorism or operational approval, engineering, or certification of any kind. We supply the printed layout; your authorized team controls its purpose and content. A flat print shows plan-view geometry only: no ceiling heights, overheads, blast, acoustic, electrical or cyber performance.

How it works

Confirm handling first: publicly releasable or ordinary unclassified only, through our standard process.
Send the approved PDF for just the area under review.
Approve the digital proof, typically ready in about 48 hours.
Production takes 5 to 7 business days after approval for standard orders; special handling is quoted separately.
Walk it, record observations through your program’s process, and return approved decisions to the governing documents.
