At One Beverly Hills, one especially large deployment covered approximately 9,900 square feet. One Beverly Hills is a major mixed-use development, and Turner Construction serves as the project’s overall site manager and has responsibility for construction across the broader development. Within that sophisticated project environment, Turner site personnel coordinated the manpower and physical rollout required to deploy the large Big Floor Plan. Project stakeholders continued touring the layout after installation.
Cain later described the Big Floor Plan as a “great success” and reported: “Everyone at the highest level of the project went out and saw it and found it very helpful.”
The importance of the project is not that a printed floor plan replaced BIM, architectural drawings, professional coordination or other sophisticated construction tools. It did not. The more useful lesson is that even a highly experienced project team working inside a complex construction environment found value in having another physical 1:1 reference that stakeholders could walk together.
For developers, owners, architects, contractors and project teams, full-scale review can provide another way to discuss actual scale, circulation, adjacency, unit layouts, amenity relationships, equipment footprints and human movement while selected decisions are still open. The appropriate review method depends on the question; a 1:1 print is one additional representation, not a replacement for professional design, BIM, surveying, engineering or construction coordination.
Sophisticated teams do not use full scale because they lack sophisticated tools. A physical walkthrough can earn a place beside those tools when actual human scale is part of the question.

A developer walkthrough can address residential unit layouts, room proportions, corridors, amenity spaces, tenant suites, back-of-house circulation, furniture arrangements, equipment footprints, storage, service paths, entrances, garage relationships, ADUs and other spatial conditions shown on the approved floor plan. Different stakeholders can focus on different questions during the same session: buyers may evaluate room relationships and circulation, leasing teams may review presentation and usability, operations teams may examine workflow, and construction teams may identify questions that should return to the design process. A full-scale print supports these discussions but does not independently determine code compliance, accessibility compliance, constructability or engineering adequacy.
Why Earlier Physical Review Matters
Design decisions are generally easier to revise before construction than after materials, labor, sequencing and completed work are involved. AR Tracking Anchors for Developer Walkthroughs
Customer-specified AR tracking anchors can be printed directly into a life-size floor plan at no additional charge upon request. Compatible image-target or marker-based workflows may use these visual references while the development team's technology provider positions selected digital model content relative to the physical plan. This can allow a team to combine a walkable 1:1 layout with selected augmented-reality visualization during a buyer, design or stakeholder review. Big Floor Plans reproduces customer-specified visual references but does not provide the AR application, configure the model, perform model registration or guarantee tracking accuracy. Software compatibility, device configuration, calibration, lighting and field performance remain the responsibility of the customer and its technology provider.
Developer Pricing and Repeat-Use Economics
Big Floor Plans pricing is $0.45 per printed square foot with a $100 minimum order. For example, approximately 2,500 printed square feet would have an initial print price of about $1,125 before shipping. When a current plan is suitable for multiple walkthroughs, the initial print cost can be considered across those deployments; five uses of a $1,125 print would represent $225 of initial print cost per walkthrough. This is simple allocation math rather than a guaranteed savings calculation, and exact production usage cannot be confirmed until the project PDF is reviewed. Shipping is calculated separately.

How to Order a Developer Floor Plan
Send the PDF, Review the Proof, Then Deploy
Send Big Floor Plans a scaled PDF of the layout to be printed; vector PDF files are preferred when available. Plans originating in Revit, AutoCAD, Archicad, SketchUp or similar design software should be exported to PDF before submission. Big Floor Plans typically prepares a digital production proof in about 48 hours after receiving usable project information. The customer reviews the scale, printed area, orientation, calibration information, requested branding and any customer-specified AR references before approving production. Typical production is five to seven business days after proof approval, and FedEx Ground shipping is separate. Plans ship folded and can be deployed on a suitable flat surface for the walkthrough.

Big Floor Plans has supported development, builder, architecture and owner teams using full-scale printed layouts for real projects. Clemens Companies used a 1:1 residential plan within an active subdivision and reported that the homebuyer spent hours walking the plan on the property while the installation also generated interest from other people in the community. Cain International reported that its Big Floor Plan was well received and reviewed by senior project stakeholders, while LEVEL5 Design+Build reported a walkthrough that extended well beyond the originally scheduled session because participants continued reviewing the space.
