Lay it on the actual lot, pad or driveway, and walk the rooms, place the furniture and see how the unit sits next to the main house before anything is built. Printing is $0.45 per square foot with a $100 minimum: an 800 sq ft ADU is about $360 and a 400 sq ft tiny home about $180, before shipping.

Small homes leave no room for guesses

In a compact unit, a kitchen aisle, a loft stair or one sofa that’s a few inches off can affect the whole home. Standing in it shows you which dimensions matter while they can still change on paper.

Walk it on the property

The path from the main house to the ADU door
Parking, the driveway, gates and where the trash goes
Views and privacy from each window toward the main house and neighbors
Shared yard and patio space

Walk it room by room

Kitchen: stand at the fridge, sink and cooktop with doors open; can someone pass behind you?
Furniture: place the real bed, sofa and table and see what paths are left
Bathroom: toilet, shower and vanity with the door open; compare fixtures with the plumbing rough-in before a slab is poured
Storage and mechanical: water heater, panel and closets you can still reach

JADUs, tiny homes and trailers

For a JADU inside the main home, walk the private entry, sleeping area, kitchenette and bathroom route with the person who will live there. For a tiny home on a foundation, see how the loft stair or ladder eats into the kitchen and living area. For a tiny home on wheels, the print can show wheel wells and chassis zones against the interior layout. A flat print doesn’t show loft height, roof slope or headroom; your designer checks those in sections and elevations.

Send a scaled PDF exported from your design software. We print your plan; we don’t sell stock ADU designs.
Approve the digital proof, typically ready in about 48 hours.
Production takes 5 to 7 business days after approval; FedEx Ground shipping is extra.

What the print doesn’t do

It isn’t a survey, a zoning or setback check, or a permit. Your designer, builder and local planning office handle those. If you’re in California, the HCD ADU Handbook is the place to start; tiny homes may fall under IRC Appendix Q where it’s adopted.
